Foundation and Governance

The Institute for Research and Consulting Services was founded in AH 1421/2000, in accordance with a Royal Decree issued by the late King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz.  In Jumada II AH 1430/May 2009, during the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, royal permission was granted to change the Institute’s name to Prince Naif Institute for Research and Consulting Services in reflection of the generous support and patronage of HRH Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of the Interior.

Prince Naif Institute forms an integral part of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, and operates under the direct supervision of HE Prof. Dr. Suliman A. Aba Alkhail, President of the University.  Internally, the Institute is governed by a dean and two vice-deans, who work to define and coordinate the Institute’s orientation, policies and interaction with Al-Imam University’s other colleges, institutes and departments, as well as with the Institute’s external partners.
Each vice-dean is responsible for one of the two major subdivisions of the Institute –

 Research and Studies
 Consulting Services
