Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - Under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University is set to organize an international conference titled "The Role of Universities in Promoting the Values of National Belonging and Peaceful Coexistence." The three-day event will take place from April 27 to April 29, 2024, at the university's conference building in Riyadh.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Asmari, Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee, emphasized that the conference aims to showcase successful practices and experiences in promoting national belonging and peaceful coexistence. It will gather a distinguished group of experts, specialists, and academics to discuss topics such as sustainable development, fostering good citizenship, promoting a culture of coexistence, tolerance, and moderation, and integrating national belonging values into academic curricula.

The conference will feature six sessions and eleven workshops designed to enhance participants' skills in promoting national belonging and peaceful coexistence. Dr. Al-Asmari highlighted that the event seeks to stimulate discussions and idea exchanges on how to build a civilized and humane society based on correct Islamic principles.

"The conference will include research papers and scientific contributions from 38 countries, with the participation of 26 speakers and researchers. The discussions will revolve around enhancing the role of universities in instilling national belonging values, promoting peaceful coexistence, and spreading a culture of tolerance and moderation," stated Dr. Al-Asmari.

Furthermore, the conference aims to shed light on topics such as correct faith, national belonging, peaceful coexistence, moderation, tolerance sustainable development, and the mechanisms for strengthening national belonging.

Imam University's international conference represents an important platform for academic and intellectual exchange, contributing to the advancement of national values and the establishment of a harmonious society.
