A number of accomplishments has been achieved by Imam University council since its main goals are dovetails with the university itself key objectives. From executing the educational policies of providing and facilitating undergraduate and postgraduate studies to advance the scientific research and community services, Imam University Council had adopted hundreds of decisions between 1993 till 2008.

Key Achievements:

A- Creating many scientific colleges, such as:

• College of Languages and Translation.
• College of Computer and Information
• College of Science.
• College of Economic and Administrative Sciences.
• College of Medicine and College of Engineering.
• College of Community – Al-Kharj Province.
•  College of Community – Shaqqra Province.

B- Establishing many institutes and research centers, such as:

• Prince Naif Institute for Research and Consulting Services.
• Center for Islamic Contemporary Studies and Civilization Dialogue.
• Center for Applied Linguistics.

C- Establishing additional supporting deanships, like:

• Deanship of Faculty Staff Members Affairs.
• Deanship of Distance Learning.
• Deanship of Information Technology.
• Approve curricula and academic plans for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

D- Forming a number of scientific associations, including:

• Saudi Scientific Association for Fiqh.
• Saudi Scientific Association for Quran and its Sciences.
• Saudi Scientific Association for Sunnah and its Sciences.
•  Saudi Scientific Association for Arabic Language.
• Saudi Scientific Association for Da’wa Studies.
• Saudi Scientific Association for Languages and Translation.
• Saudi Scientific Association for Sociology and Social Service.
• Saudi Scientific Association for Training and Human Resources.
• Saudi Scientific Association for Medical Fiqh Studies.

•  Al-Jazeera Newspaper Research Chair for New Media Studies.
• Sheikh Fahd Al-Aqeel Research Chair for Commercial Codes Studies.
• Sheikh Mohammed Al-Fawzan Research Chair for Saudi Microeconomics Expectations Studies.
• Sheikh Mohammed Al-Rashid Research Chair for Islamic Banking Studies.

F- Approving numerous of the university’s regulations and bylaws, such as:

• Financial codes regulating programs and activities of the university center for Community Service and Continuing Education.
• Regulations of the university’s research chairs and centers.
• Bylaw of the university’s outstanding research prize.

G-  Passing many joint-venture agreements and contracts, including:

• MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Islamic International Foundation for Economics and Finance, attributed with Muslim World League.
• Cooperation Agreement with University of Melbourne, Australia.
