His Excellency, the President of King Abdul Aziz University Professor. Osama Ben Sadiq Tayeb has declared during the final yearly festival of the Faculty of Economy and Administration, that the University has reached 66 academic authorizations, exceeding all the universities of the Middle East region. His Excellency has pointed out that it is expected that through the coming period the University might get more authorizations that will promote its development course.
The festival that was organized on Thursday, 16/6/1432 A.H, in Jeddah Intercontinental Hotel, has witnessed honoring the professoriate members who got promotions and scientific awards, and those who finished their assignment period with administrative commands or those who reached retirement age, in addition to honoring the distinguished people in the fields of academic development and authorization, and the graduates of the previous classes who hold high academic posts in the kingdom, the number of honored people reached 96 characters inside and outside the kingdom.
In this domain, Dr. Hussam Ben Abdul Mohesin Al-Angry, Dean of Economy and Administration College, has pointed out that the faculty has witnessed this year a lot of achievements, among of which is getting the certificate of International Academic Authorization for the post-graduate studies programs in business administration from AMBA association. Also, the faculty has updated the program of Business Bachelor which is first introduced in the faculty in English, through which distinguished qualifications of professoriate members have been attracted from different international universities. That is because, a program of student exchange with international universities has been applied and 31 students were sent to study in the British university; in Edinburgh. In addition, there are three new originated scientific departments which are (marketing, monetization and human resources management) and there are two programs among the master's degree executive programs, they are the master's degree program of general management and the master's degree program of general policy "Political Science". Furthermore, eight scientific meetings were organized, two meetings among a program of academic dialogue table; the first of which gathered a number of ambassador and consulates under the object of "The influences of the initiation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the dialogue of religions"and the second is "The objectives of sport professionalism" and was participated by His Highness Prince Faisal Ben Fahd Ben Abdullah Al-Saud, and was honored by the attendance His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Al Abdullah Al Faisal. Also, a scientific seminar was organized titled "Relationship with the other: The new Orientalism and the origins in the west", among the activities of organizing of the faculty for the National Festival for Heritage and Cultural (Al-Jenadriyah 26), a fair accompanying this occasion, was established titled "Kingdom of humanity and King of peace", in addition, the faculty has participated as a knowledge partner in Jeddah economic forum. These achievements were topped by issuing the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on establishing and sponsoring the first scientific conference of the faculty of Economy and Administration about "The National Economy: Challenges and Ambitions" in May 2012 A.C, and establishing the activities of cultural evening.
His Excellency has added that, beside the non- class activities, the faculty has organized the activities of the student's day, professional directing week, the activities of profession day and many forums organized by the student scientific clubs and many journeys on the level of social, cultural and sports committees and the Islamic enlightenment committee. The student, Abdullah Ben Yaslem Ba'li has got the name of the "Star of the Faculty", and he assured that the faculty is careful about honoring some of its attributes of academics, administrators, technicians and students, plus honoring those who participated in the scientific meetings and the meetings on the table of the academic dialogue.
