Council Secretariat
The Council Secretariat was established in coincidence with the university council; the body in charge of conducting preparations for meetings. The most remarkable accomplishments run as follows:
1. Receiving topics to be presented; verifying whether they comply with the regulations.
2. Working out memos submitted to the council that are sorted out as per topic.
3. Drafting the agenda of sessions, including topics to be discussed.
4. Extending invitations on the meeting appointment to council members and officials concerned.
5. Drafting meeting minutes and making sure that members have signed the minutes, in a step to submit them to H.E. Minister of Higher Education – the council chairperson- to approve them of.
6. Informing people concerned about the resolutions issued by the council after being approved of.
7. Calculating dues of the board members.

Dr. Saleh Al-Malik
Dr. Saleh Al-Malik was appointed a secretary general for the university council from Feb 11th, 1975 thru January, 21st 1976. Then, he was promoted to undersecretary of Ministry of Municipality and Rural Affairs (MOMRA). On August 21st, 1993 G, he was appointed a member of Shura Council. He works a secretary-general of the Shura Council now.
Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Shebl
Professor Dr. Al-Shebl, was secretary-general of the university council twice: from January 26, 1977 thru October 26, 1983 G and from July 31st, 1995 till he became the rector.
Dr. Saleh Al-Aly
Dr. Saleh was the secretary –general of the university from February 4th, 1984 thru November 7, 1984. Then, he became a rector, later a member of Shura Council. On March 27th, 2007 he was appointed chairperson of Control and Investigation Board (CIB).
Dr. Mohammed As-Salem
Dr. As-Salem was the general-secretary of the university council from May 9th, 1985 thru January 24, 1994 G. Then , he was promoted to be a member of the higher education secretariat, the higher education ministry. Later, he was appointed the rector from June 17th, 1999 through March 22, 2007.
Dr. Mohammed A. Ar-Rabia
Dr. Ar-Rabia was appointed a secretary-general of the university council from January 7, 1996 thru 21 June 2004, in addition to his job: vice-rector for higher studies and scientific research.
Dr. Bandar F. As-Suwailam
Dr. As-Suwailam
was appointed a secretary-general of the university council on21 June 2004 thru 4 February 2008 in addition to job: vice-rector for Sharia Institute Affairs.
Professor Dr. Hamud M. An-Negaidy
Professor Dr. An-Negaidy is the current university council. He took the office on February 8th, 2008 till present, in addition to his job: advisor to the rector.
