The Remarkable Accomplishments

The university council has made a lot of achievements which the university has always been seeking. It carries out the educational policy; providing undergraduate and postgraduate education. It upgrades the scientific research process and community service. This was clear in more than two thousands resolutions issued from 1993 thru 2008.

Following are the short-term accomplishments:

- Establishing a number of scientific colleges: college of languages and translation, computer science and information technology college, college of science, economics and administrative sciences college, College of medicine, college of engineering, community college in al-Kharj, and community college in Shaqra’ governorate.

- Founding a number of institutes and specialized centers: research and consulting service institute; contemporary Islamic studies center; and inter-civilization dialogue;

- Setting up a number supporting deanships: college member affairs deanship and distance education deanship;

-  Introducing a number of curricula and academic plans to university education and higher studies;

-  Forging a number of Sharia societies, foremost of which are:

1. The Saudi Scientific Juristic Society.

2.  The Saudi Scientific Society for Quran and its Knowledge.

3. The Saudi Scientific Society for Sunna and its Knowledge .

4. The Saudi Scientific Society for Arabic language.

5. The Saudi Scientific Society for Preaching Studies.

6. The Saudi Scientific Society for Languages and Translation.

7. The Saudi Scientific Society for Social Service.
