H.R.H prince Naif bin Abdul-Aziz, the second premier, minister of interior patronages on first forthcoming Jamadat-ul- Akhrah the international forum of the social partnership in scientific research which organizes by scientific research deanship, in Imam Mohamed bin Saud Islamic University during period 1-3 Jamadat-ul- Akhrah 1430H equivalent to 25-27 May 2009G.
H.E the University manager, Prof. Dr. Suliman bin Abdullah Aba-Al-Khail explained that the patronage of his highness the second premier to this forum is expressed the volume of care that the scientific research finds from Kingdom’s leaders, indicating that the University proud of organizing this forum which comes within the official and national social move aiming to support the scientific research and responses to the modern trends that calling for a real social partnership through which various society institutions perform main functions in supporting scientific research in order to contribute in social growth.
Dr. Aba Al-Khail clarified that the forum found a significant response of various social sectors, where the university enjoys the participation of a number of H.R.H the princes, H.E the ministers, Universities managers and leaders of the private sector institutions in forum sessions beside the participation of a number of researchers and speaker from in and abroad Kingdom.
H.E the University manager explained that the forum aims to monitor the reality of the social partnership in scientific research scope in Kingdom and evaluation of the national initiatives so as to reinforce the social partnership such as the experiment of scientific endowment, research chairs, scientific gardens and business incubators..beside the discussion of the policies and procedures that lead to the establishing of the social partnership, studying the most prominent obstacles and challenges that confront the start-up of the partnership and to find the available opportunities before the private sector for investing in scientific research scope as well as the anticipated roles of civil society institutions in supporting the scientific research. Also, the forum aims to review some sorts of pioneering regional and international experiments of social partnership in the scope of the scientific research.
From his side, the University vice for high studies and scientific research, the chief of preparing committee, Dr. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalaf explained that the forum includes six main axles, which tackle the experiments of social partnership in scientific research scope in Kingdom and the obstacles and challenges of establishing the efficient social partnership in this aspect, beside the policies and procedures supporting the success social research partnership. Also, the forum will discuss the private sector roles in investing in scientific research and anticipated roles of civil society institutions for supporting the scientific research beside reviewing a number of the pioneering social partnership experiments in scientific research scope on both regional and international levels.
