One-Portal Admission to Universities

The four government-run universities in ar-Riyadh region apply an e-admission for girl students via a same portal for academic year 2008-09. The four major universities are Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University, King Saud University, King Saud University for Medical Sciences and Riyadh University for Girls.

Making things easy for applicants, the universities offer a variety of seats on campus and facilitate admission measures to spare students the efforts of shuttling amongst universities looking for an admission opportunity. This helps occupy all available seats. The new eadmission policy offers students opportunities to apply for more than one university in one go as desired.

The procedure came in line with directives by King Abdullah, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, followed up by H.E. Khalid Al-Angary, Minister of Higher Education, to make admission so easy to comprehend the largest number of students. This was clear in a meeting of female admission council attended by presidents and rectors of the four universities.

The meeting came up with the results of establishing one portal for admission and forging work teams from admission deanship and computer departments at the universities to work out a proper mechanism for e-admission.
