Imam University in Top Ranks at Webometrics Ranking

In a strong academic achievement, Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has for the third year running been ranked amongst the most world universities in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, ranked 3rd amongst Arab and Saudi universities and within the top hundred Asian universities in the last world ranking, said H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Imam University.

On significance of the historical achievement, Dr. Aba Al-Khail pointed out that, it was caused by the scientific strategic plan approved by the university council to improve the educational and academical progress of the university. Lauding highly H.R.H. Prince Naif Abdul-Aziz, Second Saudi Premier and Minister of the Interior, for launching the portal on last year, Dr. Aba Al-Khail said "This symbolic remark deed has been a motive to the university staff to exert their utmost. His ceaseless support let the university to score, trebly, a higher rank at the level of Arab, Islamic, international universities".

Praising the highly top rank, Imam Rector stressed that, it was attributed to the staunch support by H.M. King Abdullah, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and H.R.H. Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz, and H.R.H. Prince Naif Abdul-Aziz, Second Saudi Premier - Allah bless them - who give great attention to public education, in general, and higher education, in particular. Their support made the university develop their courses and consequently their deliverables, added he. This helped achieve the goals for which the university was established, noted he.

Moreover, Aba Al-Khail highly lauded the ample support by H.E. Khalid Al-Angary, the Minister of Higher Education, and H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, the Minister of Finance, for ironing out all difficulties facing up the university.

Additionally, Imam Rector has thanked all faculty staff members for their continued efforts to carefully address and embedding the global E-learning challenges at the university.
