Dr. Ad-Darweesh attends the annual SunGuard Higher Education Conference

During the month of November, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Yusuf Ad-Darweesh, Imam University's Vice-rector for Community Services and Information Technology, played an active role in the eighth annual Middle East User Group Conference which was organized and hosted by SunGuard Higher Education in Dubai, UAE. The conference is an annual gathering of leaders in higher education and experts in the field of technology.
Accompanied by Dr. Saad Al-Qusaiby, Admissions and Registrations Dean, and Yahya Al-Faify, Director General of Computer Technology and Information, Dr. Ad-Darweesh enlightened the audience regarding the latest technological advancements and products of SunGuard system Inc.
During his stay in the U.A.E, he also visited the 28th World Book Fair (Expo), which was organized and hosted by Expo Centre Sharjah. He made an official stop at the Saudi pavilion and inspected the University's stand where he expressed his approval and satisfaction. He urged all participating officials to exert more efforts towards successfully communicating the University’s goals and missions.
Imam University's Vice-Rector also met with the newly appointed Emirate Cultural Attaché to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Tayyaar. He congratulated him for his appointment and hoped him all the best in his new post. Dr. Ad-Darweesh further acknowledged the strong cultural bonds between Saudi Arabia and the UAE which is valued and celebrated by H. M. King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, His Crown Prince and Second Deputy Premier (may Allah preserve them all).
