A Number of Progressive Decisions Adopted by Imam University Council

In its last periodic meeting, Imam University Council had approved and issued a number of progressive and comprehensive decisions and recommendations which can easily and speedy help in realizing the university core goals and missions.
On the decisions that have been taken by the council, Dr. Hamoud M. Al-Nejeady, Secretary General of the university council and Dean of Imam Higher Studies Deanship, stated that, the council members were agreed to set up four new research chairs at the university, namely; Prince Salman Research Chair for Preparing and upgrading capabilities of members of General Presidency for Commissions for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (CPVPV), sheikh As-Sudiss Research Chair for Fiqh Studies, Research Chair for Fiqh of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, and Al-Jubrain Research Chair for Fatwa “Verdict” studies.

“The council session had also been deeply discussed over the recommendation of establishing new university deanship titled “Deanship for Developing University Learning” and launching new Public Health department within the university. Current medical department at the university medicine college is additionally intending to be alter on the days ahead”, said he.
Regarding the faculty staff members and postgraduate students, the council secretary general further explained that, additional opportunities were given to a number of female and male students. “One faculty staff member will dispatch to work at Islamic sciences Institute at Indonesia, many staff member were actually renewed to work outside the university besides nominating numerous faculty staff members to join the councils of the university wide range colleges and institutes”, concluded he.
