A Word from the Rector of Al-Imam University

Thanks be to Allah, and blessings and praise on the Messenger of Allah, and on his family and Companions, and all who follow his guidance.

I am pleased to welcome everyone who visits this new website, which reflects the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,  Second Deputy Premier and Minister of the Interior, who has graciously agreed to bestow his name upon the Institute, in yet another outstanding example of the support which he has always granted to knowledge in general and teaching and training institutions in particular, and to all creative and innovative organizations, throughout the length and breadth of the Kingdom.

The renaming of the Institute in honor of Prince Naif is a badge of honor for the University and everyone affiliated with it, as it has been granted by a personage who is very dear to us, who has unstintingly bestowed his patronage, care and support upon our University, and, indeed, upon all the Kingdom's universities.  This is no less than we would expect from a son of the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, and from one who draws upon the thought and directives of the leader of this nation's progress, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, may Allah grant them success and preserve them from all harm. 

There is also another very important dimension to this renaming, namely, recognition of the Institute's tireless efforts in the academic, scientific, research, consulting, and service fields, and its keen awareness of its responsibilities to participate actively in the nation's development.  Particularly worthy of note are the Institute's keen awareness of its social responsibilities, towards the University and its students, and also towards philanthropic and private organizations, which have truly made Prince Naif Institute the University's portal towards society.  By virtue of all these characteristics, it has been able to achieve remarkable successes in its fields of activity, indeed, far outstripping similar organizations in the Kingdom.

The University places great hopes in Prince Naif Institute, and we will spare no effort to assure that its success continues and that it is able to carry out its task.  Prince Naif's honoring of the Institute places a greater responsibility on us to strive to design strategic plans which will carry the Institute forward to new successes in the future, in accordance with the lofty aspirations of the Kingdom's leadership, led by the King and Crown Prince, and enlightened by their steadfast pursuit of moderation and wisdom, guided by the everlasting precepts of Islam. 

In conclusion, I wish to express my gratitude to the Deanship of Prince Naif Institute for the sincere efforts and outstanding performance which have characterized it since its inception.  The Institute's leadership has absorbed the work ethos of the private sector and striven to expand the network of its services until it has been able to reach its present stature.

We pray that Allah may grant us success in the achievement of that which is pleasing to Him, and that He preserve our religion and our community, and grant success to our nation's leaders, and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the Universe.
