 *Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University Receives Prestigious Qatar University Excellence Award in the GCC*

​​In a remarkable accomplishment, Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University has been honored with the Qatar University Excellence Award for higher education institutions across the GCC countries. The prestigious recognition was bestowed upon the university during the 9th Cultural and Scientific Week for Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the GCC countries. The event, expertly organized by Qatar University, took place from February 24th to 28th, 2024.


Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University garnered numerous accolades in various fields of culture and science. Notably, it secured the top position in the robotics and artificial intelligence categories, showcasing its unparalleled expertise and innovation in these cutting-edge domains. Additionally, the university claimed the second spot in the smart cities and photography tracks, further highlighting its diverse range of accomplishments. In the religious track, the institution earned a commendable third place in the highly competitive contest for memorizing the entire Quran. Furthermore, it achieved a respectable third place in the cultural axis, particularly excelling in the poetry competition.


Dr. Abdulrahman M. Al-Kharashi, the Dean of Student Affairs at Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the university's president, H.E. Dr. Ahmed S. Al-ameri, for his unwavering support and encouragement of the institution's scientific and cultural endeavors, both within the campus and beyond. Dr. Al-Kharashi also extended his heartfelt thanks to Dr. Fahad Al-Luhaidan, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, for his consistent guidance and supervision, which played a pivotal role in the university's remarkable achievements. He emphasized, "These successes were made possible through the invaluable contributions of the college deans, who tirelessly collaborated to enhance the university's standing in all scientific and cultural platforms, both domestically and internationally."
