 Nine workshops were held on the second day of the #Promoting_Belonging_and_Peaceful_Coexistence_Conference at #Imam_University.

​The accompanying workshops for the sessions of the international conference on the role of universities in promoting national belonging and peaceful coexistence began on Sunday morning, 28/04/2024, organized by Imam Mohammad ibnSaud Islamic University at the university campus in Riyadh. The workshops addressed the scale of national awareness, the possibilities of building activities and educational programs in universities, and the importance of communicating with international graduates and their role in promoting peaceful coexistence.


The first workshop was titled "The Scale of National Awareness," one of the strategic initiatives of Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University, presented by a team from the College of Social Sciences and some university units.


The second workshop was titled "Building Classroom Curricula," presented by Dr. Ahmed M. Al-Hussein, a curriculum professor at Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University.


The third workshop was titled "Building Activities and Educational Programs," presented by Prof. Saeed S. Hadi, a curriculum and teaching methods professor at King Khalid University. The fourth workshop was titled "Communicating with International Graduates and its Role in Promoting Peaceful Coexistence," presented by Dr. Ali Mahamah from Thailand.


The fifth workshop addressed historical fallacies raised by some Orientalists through a critical view, presented by Dr. Zuhair A. Al-Shehri. The sixth workshop, titled "Values of National Belonging and Peaceful Coexistence through the Study of International Students in Saudi Universities," was presented by Dr. Hassan Y. Awaji, a history professor at the university and former dean of the College of Social Sciences, president of the Research Center for Foundation Studies and National History, dean of student affairs, and director of the intellectual awareness unit at the Islamic University of Medinah.


The seventh workshop addressed social values and their role in promoting national belonging and peaceful coexistence, presented by Dr. Hatim H. Aldhahiri from the Islamic University of Medinah.


"The Role of Media in Promoting Values of Belonging and Peaceful Coexistence" was the title of the eighth workshop, presented by Dr. Abdullah M.  Refaee, a media professor and former dean of the College of Media and Communication at Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University.


The ninth and final workshop of the day was titled "Saudi Identity and Values of National Belonging and Peaceful Coexistence in Light of Saudi Vision 2030," presented by Dr. Abdulrahman A. Alarifi, the supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Center at the Ministry of Education.


These nine workshops accompanying the sessions of the international conference on the role of universities in promoting national belonging and peaceful coexistence targeted relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Media, the Ministry of Culture, and the Presidency of State Security. Additionally, they included the General Intelligence Presidency and a number of specialists in private and public sector institutions, central curriculum committees in universities, curriculum departments in the Ministry of Education, university vice presidents for educational affairs, and deans of colleges.
